Hair care

Raw hair rewards patience. Treated well, a good unit lasts years rather than months.

Washing

Wash every two to three weeks, or sooner with heavy product use. Use lukewarm water and a sulphate-free shampoo, working downwards from the weft rather than piling the hair on top of itself.

Conditioning

Deep condition after every wash. Because the hair is no longer receiving natural oils from a scalp, conditioning is what keeps it soft — skip it and it will dry out and tangle.

Heat

Always use a heat protectant, and keep tools under 180°C. Raw hair takes heat well, but repeated high heat will loosen a curl pattern permanently.

Storage

Store on a wig stand or laid flat in a satin bag. Never damp. Brush from the ends up with a loop brush before putting it away.
